Habi was born in Saint Germain en Laye, a city known for its local educational offerings that are nonetheless limited in time and resources. How can parents provide their children with quality extra-curricular English language instruction that is both reasonable in duration and of a certain quality.
This is how Habi was conceived and developed by Ms. Meliani. With a Master's degree in Economics of Institutions and Organizations, as well as four years of study in Education Sciences, it was ultimately her experience as a mother that brought these disciplines together. Immersed in an international context that is highly competitive in terms of education and instruction, this sparked a particular interest in the subject and raised many questions.
At the heart of Habi's mission is the desire to help children make effective and lasting progress in English by instilling them with solid foundations and indispensable knowledge. This intellectual baggage would only enrich their human capital through English language instruction of exceptional quality focused on Mathematics, Science, History, and Anglo-Saxon Literature.
Habi aims to be cosmopolitan.
Its model has thus been developed with the assistance of experienced teachers from the most prestigious institutions from both across the Atlantic and in the UK. Habi then developed the most effective pedagogical approaches derived from Great Britain, Italy, Japan, and even Singapore. This aggregation of knowledge enriches our guiding principle, which is that of the British Curriculum.
Habi's mission is to globalize this model, and it is committed to achieving this goal.

The Methodology

Our teaching method relies upon an innovative yet simple concept:
The extracurricular teaching
of the British Curriculum.
Reputed for its excellence, it will undoubtedly convince you with its results notably in reading and writing, and especially in mathematics. The British Curriculum is the perfect tool to teach English because of its structure
that is not only rich but thorough.
Clearly, the British Curriculum is an evident response to our needs.
We thus teach English through the system in which this language was conceived and developed, first in Great Britain, expanded to the Commonwealth before taking over the world.
That is why, Habi offers this multidisciplinary teaching every Wednesday and Saturday, full-day and half-day,
which are essential moments to fully assimilate English.
If the above requires immersion and repetition, opening up to other subjects such as literature or science will participate in learning English with a different approach. Eventually, pupils will adopt a new method to understand those subjects, especially in maths.
Teaching English through Mathematics and Sciences allow to strengthen students' competitiveness in the educational field.
More specifically, it increases their chances in the professional field where, to enter the most prestigious institutions, proficiency in English has become crucial.

The Courses and Workshops

From the age of 3, the Extra-school offers extracurricular English education through the British Curriculum, both full and half-day.
In addition to the Extra-school program, Childcare is offered, with multiple activities to allow parents to pursue their professional activities while providing quality care for their child(ren).
Finally, during the Toussaint, Winter, and Summer holidays, Habi opens its doors for Holiday Camps.
All education and activities are taught exclusively in English,
in Total Immersion.

Each week a new and playful activity is offered to the children. As they are particularly solicited and stimulated during the Extra-School, they can also choose their own activity, play games,
spend time in the library, or simply have fun in the playground.
The Childcare is optional (for the whole school year). It is open to all students (Habi and non-Habi).

HOLIDAY CAMPS

From 17th to 21st of February 2025, Habi will open its doors for the Holiday Camp.
During this English language camp, the children will discover the English culture through a variety of activities with the native speaking teachers from our own Extra-School.
They will only be exposed to the English language, whatever their level. We strongly believe that translation is not the key to assimilate a language. Immersion through soft coercion is necessary to help the children improve their English skills.
Although the activities are playful, children will naturally assimilate vocabulary and will make the effort to speak English
in order to interact with each other and teachers. Holiday camp is a time to make friends
and discover many cultures.
Children will be grouped by level:
Beginner and Intermediate level
Advanced and Fluent level (French language is not allowed)
Duration: 7h per day for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days during one week, from 10AM until 4PM
(drop off starts at 9:30AM, please bring a lunch box and a water bottle)
Age(s): 3-5 and 6-10 years of age
